Welcome to the new blog of the IISER-K sci-fest Management Committee

As a step towards organising the first Science Fest in the country(or that is what we are fashioning ourselves into..), provisionally codenamed MANDELBROT for the time being, this blog is an outcome of the meeting held at the hut today - April 16th 2010.

The members of the management committee will be communicated the daily updates of our fertile endeavors via this blog. For suggestions regarding the name of the

Science Fest and the functioning of the committee, please mail @ astroiiserk@googlegroups.com.

Note that the suggestions should be clear and to the point.

To help you understand what we mean by "clear", we have list of points for you to include for us to consider your suggestions:

• Your name and batch and contact address, so that we may pick your brain; and whip up a catchy title if you are suggesting an EVENT.
• how many participants would one need in this event;
• clearly state the rules and regulations, we may tweak them a bit to suit our purposes, but send in a detailed idea nevertheless.
• if you foresee any problems that might crop up during the implementation of this activity, put in a line about possible resolutions.
